How we will deal with your Complaints If you have a complaint about how The car auction has collected or used your personal information, please contact the Privacy Officer and, if required, complete this Privacy Complaint Form, which asks you to explain the circumstances of your complaint, how you believe your privacy has been interfered with and how you believe your complaint should be resolved.

Our response will set out: whether in the Privacy Officer’s view there has been a breach of this Privacy Policy or any applicable privacy legislation. what action, if any, The car auction will take to rectify the situation.

If you are unhappy with our response, you can refer your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (see here for further information) or, in some instances, other regulatory bodies, such as the Victorian Health Services Commissioner (see here) or the Australian Communications and Media Authority (see here).

We will endeavor to acknowledge the Complaint from within 10 business days from receipt. In most cases a response to a complaint will be provided in 30 days of receipt of a Privacy Complaint Form. We will advise you of any delay in the response. We will, throughout the dispute process, ensure that we provide you with the opportunity to communicate with us and negotiate and we will attempt to resolve your complaint in a fair and reasonable manner. Your personal information will be used and stored in accordance with the Information Privacy Principles.
